Finishing up a book in class? Need a project for your kids to work on? This simple to set up project is a fun way for students to show what they learned and remember from their story!
Students will create an alphabet book, using events, characters, and other elements from the story. They will make one page per letter and complete the sentence ____ is for __________. (Example: R is for Ramona who's the main character in the book).
* Cover page with a blank spot for students to draw a copy of the book's cover
* 26 alphabet pages, one for each letter of the alphabet - students will fill in the letters and a sentence explaining what that letter stood for in their story.
* a writing page at the back for students to write about their favorite part of the story
* a cover for R is for Ramona, as this is what we used in my class. But you can use the general cover for whatever story you like!
Great assessment tool to see what students retained.
