How the center works:
Four children at a time can be at this station, one per tray. Children start with the letter “A” card and try to trace the letter with their finger in the salt or sand in the tray. Children can work their way through the alphabet, just gently shaking their tray to erase the previous letter they traced to make a new letter again.
Teacher can set an objective with this activity as students become more familiar with the letters:
