This packet is my collection of Roll, Count and Cover games! It fills my school year with great games that teach one to one correspondence, Number recognition, and simple addition. For each theme, I have included two variations that help you differentiate within your centers! One is for kids who need work on numbers 1-6. The other is for kids able to count and add two dice together, numbers 2-12. Both games in each theme look alike, to help the children not feel they are doing different things!
Directions for each game:
For the games with numbers 2-12, have the children roll 2 dice, count up all the dots. Talk with them about how many are all together, and what is the total of dots. Introduce them to these words through discussion! After they count all the dots, they may find the matching numeral on the playing board. Cover up that number. When all numbers have been covered up, they win!
For the games with numbers 1-6, have the children roll 1 die, count up the dots and find the matching numeral. Once all the numbers have been covered, they win!
A big shout out goes to the creator of www.mycutegraphics.com for the amazing graphics that were used in these games!
