Mealtime is a great opportunity to work on expanding functions of communication using a CORE board. Work on CORE vocabulary while your child or student is eating. Grab this free AAC CORE board and have a low tech communication tool to use during mealtimes such as breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.

You can use this mealtime CORE board to work on:

⭐Asking questions ("What can I eat?"
⭐Answering yes/no questions ("No, eat")
⭐Social Manners ("Please, me")
⭐Fringe vocabulary for mealtimes ("fork, knife, plate")
This mealtime ❤️AAC CORE vocabulary communication board❤️ has English and Spanish versions. There is also an editable PDF version, so that you can customize for your child or student's primary language. You can print and send home with parents to use during mealtimes. This resource includes a parent handout for how to model ❤️AAC CORE vocabulary❤️ with their child.
For students who are verbal, but need a lot of visual supports, you can use CORE boards to elicit novel utterances with less verbal prompts.
