These boards are perfect for your special education, SLP or early intervention settings because they can be used flexibly individually or with groups. Students with ASD, language delays, global development delays and even apraxia can benefit from the use of these visuals to support expressive and receptive language. If you have never introduced a communication board, then the inclusion of 9 different choice strips are a great place to start with strips including "I want..", "I choose.." and "yes/no".
The play-based communication boards all contain a mixture of vocabulary including: nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions, pronouns, social comments and questions. I have also included language expansion lists that show how you can combine the words on these boards into 2+ word sentences (such as Noun+Verb, Verb+Preposition).
An extra page is provided so that they can be cut individually and used as Velcro based choice boards to start at a more basic level and teach concepts separately before you build up to the use of the boards.
