Project based learning builds not just academic skills but also social skills, cooperation and more For our AAC users it can build vital communication skills within the context of a genuine communication context.

Here is an activity that many students actually participate in in real life and can enjoy planning and bringing their experiences to. The templates provided act as jumping off points and visual cues for discussions.

It is not necessary to fill out the templates with the pictures but students may enjoy doing so and will get to keep them to remember the activity.

For this project there are

  • 5 specific templates for different aspects of the party plan
  • Pages of pictures to go along with each with plenty of variety
  • A final invitation page that students can chose to create.

Each student will need an AAC system of some sort in order to participate in the discussion.
