Basic mathematical skills begin with identifying patterns. Understanding and identifying patterns aids in problem solving, creative thinking, making predictions and much more. I have created these pattern templates for use in my autism therapy practice, but they would work well for young learners from preschool through kindergarten. These strips are in color on letter-sized (8 1/2 x 11) paper and can be used with a variety of materials. Personally, I have them pasted on card stock and laminated so that they can be used repeatedly. This particular strip consists of primary and secondary colors only, and includes one complete pattern and one fill-in pattern strip.
