ABC 1st Aid Kit in a 464 page all-in-one letter sound/recognition/writing resource. With this resource you many of my favorite items bundled in one place. This is the 1st Aid I use for teaching letters and sounds in my classroom. This kit has been developed from over a decade of kindergarten and TK experience. Working with students of all levels and abilities I have found that students need several ways to experience letters and sounds before they can truly internalize them. Students need whole group, small group, independent and cooperative learning experiences to not only learn but apply what they have learned and become emergent readers.

Teaching letter sounds can be daunting with so many ideas out there. This kit is truly a one stop shop for you. You decide the pace and the letter order you want to teach and simple use ALL of these items to create a rich letter/sound learning environment for your learners. Your learners will have several opportunities to demonstrate what they have learned in both note taking and in independent practice. But one of my favorite parts are the guided reading books. Have letter sound guided reading books gets your students ready for context clue skills and reinforces the sounds taught. Run your guided reading groups and send them home for their parents to practice with them.
Combining a graphic organizer, an interactive anchor chart, center activities, trace and say cards, letter sound printables and readers increases the engagement and learning.
I created these tools to not just teach letters and sounds but to unlock the reader in each of my students. Students need to be confident in their letter sounds to be able to decode and blend sounds. The ABC 1st Aid Kit allows for customization depending on ability level. Have your students write letters, phonemic spellings of words, copy words. It is up to you. You will be able to teach at the pace of your students and create valuable tools you will be able to use in your classroom the entire year! Buy this kit and let it aid you and your students.
