ABC ASL Animal Flashcards through the Alphabet teaching Sign Language

PDF (10 MB)

These simple flashcards are a perfect addition to my "Learning About Animals Through the Alphabet" Unit. These flashcards will compliment that set perfectly and are also great on their own.You can choose to leave them as is, you can color them, or you can have your child/children color them for you. Then, cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. Hold up the letter and teach the child/class to recite the letter and sound eg: "A says a as in alligator" and then unfold to reveal the ASL letter and sign the letter for the class. Once you have gone through it with them, then you can fold to reveal only the letter and animal, hold it up and have them sign the letter without your help. Unfold to reveal if they were correct or not. Alternately, you can hold up the sign and have them recite what letter it is. Children love the "peek-a-boo" aspect of getting to see for themselves if they were correct or not when the folded side is revealed! I try to be frugal and therefore I create most of my items to be very low ink use. I have created several items to compliment my animal unit because I believe children learn best when the same "characters" are used across the board and therefore the child feels a connection to them and is more excited to learn! I will be adding more items often so please follow our store, keep checking back with us and you can even follow us on Facebook for updates at https://www.facebook.com/GrowingSONflowers/ Thank you for choosing this product and please keep checking back for more!
