Product Description
ABC Letter Rings

Use this ABC Letter Ring set as practice for students to master letter and letter/sound recognition. There is a corresponding picture for each letter. This allows for students who are still gaining confidence in their letter/sound recognition to listen for the initial sound represented in the picture.

Included you will find:

- 26 pages of capital letters (one letter per page)
- 26 pages of lower case letters (one letter per page)
- 5 pages of long vowels (one letter per page)
- Student covers for their letter rings

Here is how I use this set:

Prep:
Separate capital letters, little letters, and long vowel letters into sections. (I like to break the capital letters into thirds, lower case letters into thirds and then have the long vowels at the end.) Each section should be printed on a different color construction paper. Once students have mastered the letters and sounds of a section, I give them another section to add to their ring. Students are really motivated to have as many colors as possible.
Side note: I have organized this packet so that each letter has its own page. This is because I want you to be able to section your letters however you feel appropriate. I know many reading programs introduce letters in a certain order and you may want to organize your rings according to that. You may want to organize your rings by dividing the alphabet equally. Or you may want to use this as an intervention tool and only use the letters that you know students need help with.

How to Use:
I like to make these letter rings readily available to students so that they may practice when they finish early. I keep the rings at their desks. We practice letter rings during morning work, a moment during the day when I see a student finished with an activity or during the end of the day procedures. It’s a really fast check in with students. I also make extra for struggling students to take home and practice with family.
