This is a great research/writing project that can be used with any topic. We complete this mini-book as part of our monthly research project we complete during our weekly library time. Students bring these books with them to the library and use the resources there to complete the pages. This activity can also be used in the classroom! Students just need to fill in one thing about a topic for each letter of the alphabet.
I copy the cover/back cover page and then 2 copies of each page for each student. If you copy them front to back, you can use the long-arm stapler to staple the middle of the pages. You can also staple them at the top so they open like a flip book. There are tons of options! I have also given each student half of a page to do using one letter of the alphabet and we hung them on the bulletin board, then later made them into a class book.
Time to get writing (and researching)!
