ABC Order practice for the entire year! Help students learn and practice their alphabetizing skills with this fun, monthly-themed activity pack! (CCSS L 2.4 and L 3.4) There are four pages per month, leveled so that students learn and practice putting words in alphabetical order to the first, second and third letter. Each of the four pages follows a particular format, so after September/October, students should be able to complete these activities independently. Also included are three anchor charts reviewing how to alphabetize to the first, second and third letter!
You can choose to use this as a weekly literacy center, as weekly homework, or combine the whole year as one large practice book. An answer key is included for each month's activities, so that a parent volunteer could easily help check students' work.
ABC Order Through the Year was created for second grade students, but could easily be used as a refresher for third graders or a challenge for firsties.
