Turn your class into a fun explorative adventure for your students with four standards aligned, interactive, multimedia activities from Adaptive Curriculum. Focusing on Electricity, this Lesson Plan enhances your classroom Science instruction with a wide variety of resources: from a comprehensive teacher’s guide, a professionally-formatted PPT presentation to student printable activity sheets and multiple choice assessments, you have everything you need to implement this lesson in your classroom.
This lesson plan has been designed around four interactive multimedia activities, called Activity Objects, for grades 5 - 8.
The first two Activity Objects of this lesson plan focus on students building series and parallel circuits by using wires, batteries, switches, and light bulbs.
In the third Activity Object, students explore the relation between voltage and current and learn about Ohm’s Law and resistance.
In the last Activity Object, students explore what affects the resistance of a conductor.
The first two Activity Objects include printable activity sheets which are specifically prepared to be used during the teacher presentation of the interactive multimedia activity. The last two Activity Objects have printable experiment reports which provide reflection questions related to the Activity Object as well as data tables in which students will be able to enter experiment data. Each activity also includes an assessment section, featuring multiple choice questions.
You will need to download all the documents (a total of 8 MS Word documents, 1 PDF document and a PPT presentation) as a zip package. The guide document will explain how to access the interactive multimedia component, which will be available for one (1) year from the time of your purchase.
