Designed to provide practice responding to text using evidence during independent reading time. These bookmarks act as a notetaker, which are organized around the paragraph builder method of A (answer), C (cite evidence), and E (explain/elaborate). When students are ready to write out their findings, they can refer back to their bookmarks to easily plug-in these three elements.
Ways to Use:
Weekly reading logs for homework
*Students use the bookmark for each night of the week and turn it in Friday morning.
Reading Response Workshop
*If you utilize a reading program that bridges reading and writing, these are perfect for student independent time while they collect information from texts for focused outcomes.
You may use these as guided worksheets during reading groups to support your differentiated reading groups meeting the CCSS standards.
