Although this activity takes some preparation on your part it is well worth it! Don’t shy away. I have provided you with a list of what is in your packet. However, I have also provided you with detailed plans regarding what will be required of you (in a bird’s-eye view and also on a daily basis). You will be conducting four lessons on adjectives and your final day will be an assessment.
This lesson could be introductory, a follow-up lesson, or a final lesson to close a unit. If the students have not yet been introduced to adjectives they will be actively participating in deductive thinking. If they have already learned about adjectives it will be an incredible way to reinforce the vocabulary. Oh, and speaking of vocabulary . . . this is a vocabulary rich unit which will also help to enhance sentence development.
I HAVE PROVIDED:
5 day adjective lesson plan; each day is detailed so you will not have to guess about what to do.
Materials: raindrops with adjectives, raindrops without adjectives, varying sizes of raindrops
List of materials you will need to provide
Assessment with fill-in-the-blank, adjective search, name adjectives, and sentence writing
