Product Description
Here is a creative craft that I use to teach my students about various African American inventors. This craft activity allows students to gather information on 10 inventors.

Inside you will find…

-10 shirts with each inventor’s invention on their tie (except for Madam C.J. Walker)
-the same 4 questions on each shirt that students can use to provide information on each inventor
-an extra shirt for students to choose their own inventor
-a copy of each inventors face

The inventors included are:

George Washington Carver (peanut butter/plant products)
Garrett Morgan (traffic signal)
Lonnie Johnson (super soaker water gun)
Jan Matzeliger (machine that made shoes faster)
Alfred Cralle (ice cream scoop)
George Crum (potato chips)
Jack Johnson (wrench)
Alexander Miles (improved elevator)
John Lee Love (pencil sharpener)
Madam C. J. Walker (hair care products)
