Combining ELA with science by Reading for Information, I made these materials for students after they've read the article. Here is a worksheet that first assesses their reading comprehension and then allows them to organize what they've learned via a graphic illustration. Included are -
- Five statements which students decide are true or false, and room for them to write a quote from the article validating their response,
- A graphic illustration for students to fill in missing information which summarizes the problem discussed in the article,
- A map of the area discussed in the article.
