Alpha - F.I.T.T.
This is a lesson that blossomed from a desire to find a way to get students more excited about fitness and all its wonderful benefits. I start by introducing the f.i.t.t. principle (see below) and explain how it relates to everyday life. the lesson requires students to perform tasks in a station (circuit) setting.
This lesson may be a one-day event or you can spread it out over a few days. These stations are also great to sprinkle into other station lessons.
This packet includes the following:
World wall with several signs to choose from
Multiple Alpha-F.I.T.T. task cards for grades k-8
Alpha-F.I.T.T. Scorecards for keeping track of progress
Each station has a set of parameters that MAY be modified for all students. The stations also create meaning repetition in a wide range of skills. including but not limited to strength, balance, endurance, flexibility, and rhythm.
