PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PowerPoint helps teach buoyant force: the upward force equal to the weight of the water displaced. Demo an orange floats with peel on; when peel is off, it sinks. Dead sea is more buoyant than fresh water. Test with a pencil floating in salt vs. fresh water. Weigh salt and fresh water to compare. Surface dive technique, (duck dive) helps you sink faster because by lifting legs you reduce volume of water displaced, but your mass remains constant. Naomi McDonnell
