An opportunity for students to differentiate between a.m. and p.m. times. I realized that my students were erroneously relating a.m. to the sun and p.m. to darkness. This presentation clarifies that misconception. To answer the questions, I had my students perform a physical vote by standing on the east side of the room for a.m. (sunrise) and on the west side of the room for p.m. (sunset). Different students justified their answers and shared their thinking. They had fun ~ while learning!
