First, let me say how much fun I had creating these files, questions, and Bell ringers. It has so much fun for me and my students as most of them are very open ended so that each student can come up with their own answer. It gives them a chance to be successful without the fear of failure. We love the idea that I can "test" them while at the same time they can "test" me. They 'think' that is so much fun even though they never think that I have been teaching this for over 30 years and if I asked it, it's a good guess I know the answers.
Knowing the answers makes it much easier to grade – if you grade them – meaning you may use them at the beginning of class, in the middle as a reinforcement, at the end of class as an exit ticket, whenever you like. I have generally used them as an entrance activity so that my students are busy while I take roll each class. They generally get 5 minutes or less to do them and I give them an extra credit point for each completed assignment. Any mistake means it goes in the trash.
There are enough "Beyond the Stars" to complete one month of use if you use them daily. Have fun with them, I know I did.
