Students struggle with analysis, arguably the most important skill they take away from English class and into life. It is tough! I have found that the best way to create deep thinkers is to break it down in more simple terms. I have watched my students' state test scores go from 34% proficient to 91% proficient. My students are constantly analyzing and they are good at it!

This original and effective analysis tool breaks it down into simple terms for the students. They simply need to remember a simple acronym: READ. It guides them through the steps they need to write a thorough analysis.

I have shared this with a few of my colleagues and their scores have gone up, on average, 100 points. It just works!
