One of the favorite Fall activities the 2-5 year-olds loved to start every September was their own Alphabet Book. Every week we added a letter or two and before you knew it they had their own book. They were taught to follow instructions as each page was done differently: crayons, markers, colored pencils, paints of various types, stickers, cutting/pasting, etc.(The pictures are from my Grandson’s :Eat the Alphabet Book” – His second book!!! ) The activity is easy and fast to accommodate short attention spans but it proves to teach even the youngest one the alphabet in no time at all! Each sheet is dated which made for plenty of parental discussions and aided in developmental progress reports. The letters were also available for “free time” coloring or to take home.
