To all the kids (like I was) that spend endless hours doodling ~ learning to draw with dog-eared instructives ~ this one’s for you. For all the classroom teachers and homeschool moms that appreciate the significance of integrating art ~ this one‘s for you. And for all the Art teachers that love a reliable, engaging activity, where students work quietly and independently ~ this one’s for you.
As a drawing tool, this set is unique.
You’ll receive 20 original “animals” to learn how to draw. Each is on a page that includes a habitat or setting that not only suggests a narrative, but gives the artist a “visual context” helping with placement and size. In addition, a critical shape (or line) is given to trace, jump-starting the drawing and eliminating any ”first line jitters.” The remaining steps are shown at the bottom of the page in 4 consecutive boxes. Here, the lines are seen as GRAY and BLACK to indicate the progression of the drawing ~ lines already drawn and lines to draw.
The set also includes 20 Picture Keys. These show the completed picture and serve as a valuable reference. Take note that some pages have multiple animals, upside down or reversed animals ~ all of which are shown clearly in the Picture Keys.
The difficulty level varies. However, the goal is to make it fun ~ not frustrating.
*Please check out the PREVIEW to see ALL THE PAGES.
Consider LAMINATING a set.
Establish a permanent file of laminated animals where students can access,
work and replace easily and quickly. Provide skinny dry erase markers and felt squares (for erasing) and the pages can be used and enjoyed again and again.
This no prep ~ no clean-up, versatile resource will become your kids favorite quiet time activity.
Keep a set on hand for fast finishers, morning work, center time, incentives, rainy day recess, sub lessons. Consider integrating the animals into your language arts curriculum in a narrative writing. Encourage your students to add details ~ to color their drawings. In closing, thank you for incorporating Art into your classroom!
