These ANZAC Day activities are designed to be “no prep” and ink friendly.
There is a choice of two levels for arranging ANZAC themed words in alphabetical order. The simplest ABC order task requires children to arrange 5 words by considering alphabetical order to the first letter only. An alphabet prompt is included on the recording sheet and simple straight line cutting of rectangles is required. Directions are included for both levels.
The higher level task requires arranging 11 words in alphabetical order to the second letter. No written alphabet prompt is included on the recording sheets and curved cutting of circles is required. There is a choice of four types of recording sheets, two for each level.
Eleven illustrated fact cards are also included, one for each ANZAC themed word. These could also be arranged in alphabetical order or serve as writing or research prompts. The cards could be glued onto a poster or into a scrapbook or notebook.
The black and white activities also provide lots of opportunity for colouring in! Enjoy!!
