I give this assignment to my students at the start of the year.
PAGE 1 : In the first week, they do this page. It requires them to find their favorite work of art (goal : look through your book; start SEEING art), fully identify it (goal : learn what it means to identify a work), and start to think about the form, content, context, and function of the work (goal : familiarize students with art terms they will use on the APAH test).
PAGES 2-3 : At the end of the year, they will complete one of these two sheets. Page 2 is for students who still have the same favorite work, and page 3 is for students who have a new favorite work. I then give them page 1 BACK, and they can see the growth in their artistic taste and analysis.
Note : Most of my store is for my French classes, but I'm dual-certified and also teach APAH. All of my APAH documents are in ENGLISH.
