This is an adaptation for the AP Biology Traditional Enzyme Catalysis lab. It can be used in place of the College Board Lab for enzymes or as an additional lab experience for supplementation. In the lab, students investigate the roles of biological catalysts in reactions. The lab supports the AP College Board requirement for inquiry in the Cell Unit and includes a background section, pre-lab questions, detailed procedures, simple materials readily on hand for any high school science department, data analysis, and follow-up synthesis and reflection questions. It can also be used and/or adapted for an intro-college level course or an underclass honors or college-prep biology class.
