Product Description
This is a great hands-on AP Biology resource that sequences the events of transcription, mRNA processing, translation, and protein folding. It can also be used as a review of the flow of information from DNA to protein before the AP exam. Students cut out the events, sequence them, place them in the right stage (transcription, translation, etc.), and glue them in a manila folder. The students enjoy an opportunity to collaborate, cut, paste and organize this information into an "poster" that folds and can be kept in a notebook. This activity covers learning objective 3.4: Describe representations and models illustrating how genetic information is translated into polypeptides. Since this project is included in the AP Biology DNA to Protein Bundled Unit please do not purchase if you already have the bundle.
