This spreadsheet illustrates key concepts from AP and introductory calculus. It requires some basic knowledge of Excel to modify. Cells that are automated are highlighted in light-green. Cells that require manual input are highlighted in light-blue.
This spreadsheet can be used to illustrate key ideas in class, to generate graphs that can be "copy/pasted" into notes and quizzes, or to inspire ideas for student-based spreadsheet projects.
The first sheet automatically graphs a function and a tangent line at a given point.
The second sheet automatically graphs a function, its derivative, and a tangent line at a given point This sheet also automatically calculates left and right Riemann sums as well as the trapezoid approximation of the area under the curve.
The third sheet allows the user to input x and f(x) values into a table and then automatically calculates the left and right Riemann sum as well as the trapezoid approximation. A graph for each calculation is automatically generated.
The fourth sheet automates Euler's method as well as graphing the curve approximated by Euler's method.
If errors are spotted or updates required, I will make corrections and release the updates free of charge.
The spreadsheet is unlocked so that the user can modify it to meet his/her needs.
