Do you need a quicker lab for your students to do a titration? I've written one up that you can do in under 45 minutes! This lab allows students to titrate a 5-mL sample of 0.1M HCl with 0.1M NaOH and take pH measurements after every 1-mL addition. They draw a titration curve from their data. Then, students repeat this same titration using bromthymol blue indicator instead of taking pH measurements. They should see that the equivalence point is reached at the 5-mL mark during both titrations!
This product includes teacher instructions, a student lab sheet (with procedures) and an answer key. These items are in WORD format, so they're fully editable.
*You do need the following materials:
bromthymol blue indicator
pH meters or sensors
software or a FREE Vernier chromebook app if pH sensors are used
