A Homework Menu full of options gives students a variety of ways to approach a text, adds depth to class discussion when students come in with diverse preparation, and offers students choice in their weekly homework and text responses.
In the AP Lang Homework Menu, students can explore many ways of approaching a text stylistically and rhetorically, from practicing annotation skills to changing the tone to a full parody of the author's style. There are visual options, diction-focused choices, and collaborative avenues. Through choosing and exploring a variety of options, students practice and master the skills they need in order to read and respond to complex texts as well as prepare for the AP exam in the Spring.
