The warm up strategies include a note-taking strategy, a maps mnemonic tool, a current events synthesis point activity, a storyboard summation tool, multiple-choice strategies, an art mnemonic, a primary source analysis tool, a short answer question organizer and strategy description, and an "isms" organizer. The design of each of these tools was to give students routines and systems that they can use throughout the entire year to take on the challenging exam sections and approach each warm up and activity with the design of the exam in mind. Each warm up or activity has a direct connection to an aspect of the AP exam. For example, the contemporary connections activity utilizes current events to help students prepare and practice for the synthesis point of the DBQ. Enjoy!
