PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this lesson, students, working in groups, will present their findings on how the Reformation was a political, religious and social movement through the analysis of twelve documents. Students will realize from the sources that political and religious forces were at odds with one another and that the movement of the 16th century was a complex one with all social classes involved: monarchy, aristocracy, religious institution (the Church), and the lower class (especially the peasants). To aid them in their analysis and presentation, a chart has been attached at the end of the documents.
