PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this lesson, students, analyzing primary and secondary sources, will learn about the impact wars have on a nation and on the world and how conferences, organizations and treaties have been created and drafted to avert major wars in the past. In this case, the Congress of Vienna was called for to reestablish the balance of power in Europe, and in turn, weaken the once formidable French Empire that Napoleon had created through alliances and conquest. To understand the ramifications of the agreements made at the Congress of Vienna, students will complete a blank map of Europe and answer questions that are based on the maps of Europe in the aftermath of the agreements made at Vienna.
