PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this lesson, students, working in their groups, will examine the rise of the infamous dictators in Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union in the post-First World War 1920s and 1930s. They will analyze their respective sources and then present their findings to the rest of the class. By the end of the class, students will compare and contrast the rise of Mussolini, Stalin and Hitler in their respective countries and decide whether or not the establishment of totalitarian regimes in Europe were inevitable. To aid the students in their analyses, a comparison chart and a follow-up question have been provided.
