This document contains well over 100 literary and poetry terms that I have taught my students over the duration of my year-long AP Literature and Composition course. It is meant as a review, not as the first exposure to these terms, as the initial notes they are drawn from are far more extensive. All the terms are defined as concisely as possible.
Hope it helps your students prep for the test as it does mine.
I've been teaching a very successful AP Literature program for 9 years that I started from scratch. I create all my own materials, and my students have consistently been performing at or above the national average passing rate. This is in a non-selective, public school program, with an average of 30 or more in a class (I teach 4 sections).
Would love to hear your feedback as to the quality of the materials.
I know that organizationally, these notes were just put together as an amalgamation of each set of notes I used throughout the year, so they aren't exactly organized thematically (poetry sections are all together, however). I do think they serve their purpose as a final review.
Good luck to your students on the exam!
