Each year, I explain to my students how AP Government is like a formula. It is very different than history. In history you wouldn't study Vietnam one day and then Colonization the next. No, history is learned in a sequential, chronological manner. (After learning the about the Constitutional Foundations), government can be taught in any order. I explain to students that they should look at the structure like a formula, once they learn the formula it will all make sense.
I have included "formula" sheets for:
For each unit, a review sheet has their function, powers, where its found, strength, weaknesses, how it connects with federalism, major pieces of legislation, major Supreme Court cases, etc.
Students have come back and told me that these formula sheets helped them tremendously on the exam.
If you want all of the basic information in one place, take a look.
