Vocabulary puzzles are a great way for your students to learn, practice, and review important vocabulary. Additionally, they can provide a quick way to assess how comfortable your students are with the terms. This vocabulary puzzle focuses on 17 different terms related to ethnicities. I like using these puzzles in different ways in my classroom. They make great warm-ups or bell ringers, fun competitions when I time students, or things for students to work on when they've finished something early. To put this puzzle together, you just need to match the term with the definition. You can choose to have the pieces cut out beforehand, or have your students cut out the puzzles as they engage in some last minute review of the terms. Then they would mix up the pieces and put it back together. Make sure to keep an intact copy to use as the key! For maximum durability, I recommend printing the puzzles on card stock and laminating them once the pieces have been cut out.
Here are the 17 terms included in this puzzle:
5. Centripetal force
6. Ethnic cleansing
7. Ethnic enclave
17. Triangular slave trade
