Vocabulary acquisition is one of the fundamental components of any AP course and this product helps AP Language and Composition students learn 20 key terms used throughout the course.
The PowerPoint provides three key slides per term: slide 1 contains the term, its definition, and any other pertinent information, slide 2 contains a practice example (literary based when possible) to expose students to the practical use of the term and close analysis of its effect, slide 3 contains a practice example where students view video or audio clips (when possible) and work to identify the term in the example and explain its effect. In total, you receive 60 slides of presentation information that is engaging! Use this as a daily warm-up, exposing students to a term or two, or send the presentation home to be viewed throughout the quarter as independent work.
Additionally, you will be provided with a term template on which students can take notes and keep the information organized for use during the school year. The terms and definitions are already printed on each page - students simply need to take notes on the textual and practice examples.
