Student feedback is one of the most powerful sources of information about our teaching.
AP Language and Composition teachers often struggle with teaching test-taking strategies for the multiple choice section of the exam. Student feedback about the effectiveness of multiple choice instruction is an invaluable tool for the reflective teacher. This one-page survey is designed for the end of a grading period (I use it at the end of each semester). Students will use a rating scale to indicate their confidence with the text types included in the AP Language and Composition test and to rate the helpfulness of instructional strategies used during multiple choice practice. They are also prompted to advocate for their needs in two short-answer questions.
