As an AP Lit. teacher we all know how difficult the multiple choice portion of the exam is! Most students practice throughout the year, and don't have a clue why they are getting low test scores. This reflection sheet helps students to understand the types of questions they are missing on any given exam and asks them to reflect upon why they missed each question. I usually give my students half of a released practice exam (found on CollegeBoard's website under secure documents). After I've graded them, I have students fill out this sheet. They first begin by writing down each question they missed, then I tell them what type of question each question is, then I give them the correct answers to each question, and what they missed with a partner. Finally, I go over the most frequently missed questions to help students understand the mistakes they are making. Through this reflection, students should be able to see if there is a pattern of weaknesses. For example, some students really struggle with "vocabulary in context" types of questions. By using this sheet, you can help them to better understand what they need to improve upon for the test.
