Product Description
This lesson is designed to promote deeper individual student thinking about rhyme, onomatopoeia, alliteration, assonance, consonance, repetition, and anaphora. In a lesson following the framework of a hook, modeling, guided practice, and independent practice, students read and analyze several AP-level poems rich in sound devices. Lesson plan includes lines of poetry (not included in the poetry packet) to use as examples, scripted discussion questions, and writing prompts for students. It also includes a graphic organizer for notes as well as a worksheet for analyzing a poem of the student's choice. Designed to accompany my Poetry Packet.
