Product Description
This lesson introduces students to identifying, analyzing, and deepening thinking about symbols and comparisons (metaphor, simile, conceit, allusion) in AP-level poetry. The lesson plan includes scripting and ideas for a whole-class discussion and discovery of symbolism in a T.S. Eliot poem, as well as specific questions for small group work analyzing comparisons in several other plans. Designed to accompany my Poetry Packet.
