This lesson is designed to extend students' thinking about diction and tone (2 terms they should be very familiar with) to a higher level of thinking and analysis. Students read and analyze several poems--moving from whole-class work, small group practice, to independent thinking and writing. Lesson plan includes images from a PowerPoint, scripted discussion questions, and writing prompts for students. Designed to accompany my Poetry Packet.
