It covers an entire introduction to history of the atom and naming and formula writing for simple compounds - usually the second chapter of any AP chemistry textbook. Fully editable! (Follows most closely with Zumdahl's textbook - 8th edition; however, it is suitable for use for any AP chemistry course.) Topics discussed are listed on the preview slide. Movie clips and external supplemental materials are embedded within the Power Point to aid in your visual learner's understanding.
Didn't get a chance to finish all the notes in one class period? It's easy to pick back up where you left off teaching because of the hyperlinks on the topics slide! Helpful animations and step by step examples are sure to enable your new AP students review these imperative concepts with ease.
