Knowing some of the key people of psychology is very helpful when prepping for the AP Psych exam in May. This is a great assignment for the beginning of the school year. I require my students to complete this packet during the first week of school and quiz them on these individuals the following week. I sporadically quiz them on these people throughout the school year. I use David G. Myers Psychology for AP 1st Edition (2010) version in my class.
You do not have to have the book in order for your students to complete this. There are numerous sources online they could use for it. You could also use this assignment in a regular Psychology class as well.
Included in this unit you will find a 25 question homework packet for them to use. I have also included the matching quiz for it with two versions/scratch banks so you could alternate your testing rows. I have included a key for both versions of the definition quiz. The quiz is a shortened version of information on the individual. Students packet work tends to include more information on each person. My goal is to help them make quick associations with each person.
I know there are so many other people of psychology that I could have included but I chose to go with the ones who have popped up on practice tests fairly frequently.
You can also find this lesson in the AP Psychology MEGA Bundle
