### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a Chapter 3 Test/Project where you take one problem and do everything possible with linear regression to get to a conclusion. In total there are 17 questions asked on one problem. These include:

1. Explanatory variable

2. Response variable

3. scatterplot (sketch from calculator)

4. r-value (correlation)

5. r^2 (% explained by the line)

6. prediction equation (store it in y1)

7. interpret the slope ( when x increases by 1 what does y do?)

8. interpret y -intercept (when x is zero what is y?)

9. find x bar, sx, y bar, sy, and r

10. use the 5 things you found in #9 to find b and a in equation

11. Residuals in L3 which is L2-Y1(L1)

12. Residual plot (2nd stat plot Plot #2 make L1 and L3)

13. Calculate a residual by hand (observed(y) - predicted(y)

14. Interpret the residual (how much above or below your observed was compared to what was predicted)

15. Influential point (where is it?)

16. How to tell how influential it is? (does it change the line and the r-value and the r^2?)

17. Conclusion (use all your results to write a conclusion of the problem)
