This is a Webquest that has students explore "the best private school in Mexico," Colegio Williams, which is in Mexico City. Students answer questions about the school as they explore its website, which includes videos, photos/virtual tours, and other engaging graphics. They also compare the school (including its mission, mascot, saying, and cost) to their own. I use this Webquest (included as both a Word Doc and Google Doc) with students in my Spanish 4 Honors class to go along with ¡Imagina! Lección 2 (Vivir en la ciudad/Ciudad de México). It takes two days in class with one night of homework (about 20 minutes more) to finish. For me, it is the introduction to a project they then do in pairs in which they pretend they have just returned from spending senior year at Colegio Williams (they won a scholarship!). They must now describe their year using preterite, imperfect, and specific sites in Mexico (will upload project description to this lesson once ready for sharing). This Webquest works as a stand alone two day lesson OR as an introduction to this project. It would also work well with the AP Spanish curriculum (Tema 1, Contexto 1: Las comunidades educativas).
