PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This powerpoint (.pptx) file makes a great warm-up or brief review of choosing the correct inference procedure for a setting. It contains eight examples, plus answers after each slide.

I wrote the names of several inference procedures on the board with numbers, and had my students hold up their fingers to let me know which procedure they felt was best. Whole class student engagement!

The procedures included are:
two-prop z-test
two-prop z-interval
two-sample t-test
two-sample t-interval
chi-squared test for goodness of fit
chi-squared test for homogeneity
chi-squared test for independence

I used this as a quick 10-15 minute activity on a test review day, but it could easily be extended with a little work. Some of the examples within could be extended and pulled into homework or assessment!
