This is the second lesson of the Probability Unit in AP Statistics. Students will be exposed to key vocabulary terms. In this lesson students will describe a probability event for a chance process, use probability rules to calculate probabilities, use a two-way tables and Venn diagrams to model a probability event , calculate probabilities involving two events, and use the general addition rule to calculate probabilities. These lessons are set up to have the teacher lead the students through the note-taking process while incorporating examples for the students to try. The answer keys are provided. Homework will be added shortly at not additional cost to those who purchase before. I will also be making videos that take the student through the lesson for those that flip their classroom or for absent students. SMART notebook files are included for the teacher to fill in with the class.
